Oscar w’s wharfside red gum grill intention is to showcase the region and the season, in a contemporary Australian style. Foods are sourced from our region as much as possible and can include, locally grown milk fed veal from Nanneella, salt bush lamb from woomboota, kangaroo from the malee, prime beef from Gunbower, line caught redfin from the Murray River, farmed yabbies, quail, rabbit and fruit and vegetables from Torrumbarry truly showcase our fantastic produce.
Our food is designed to celebrate our past but look forward to the future. We aim to create dishes that are familiar but not boring, something that you recognise but is still fresh and contemporary, flavours that are unique but not weird. Over the years we have developed our food style to reflect the changing tastes of our many guests. We understand that at times one wants something easy at the lounge bar with friends, other occasion’s calls for something more special by the glass overlooking the Murray River through the huge gums.
